Our primary differentiator is our patented Cell Protection Protein (CPP™), first discovered for the vital role it plays in the health and survival of plant and marine life that thrive in the sub-zero conditions of the Arctic. LIFTLAB skincare allows the same powerful, protective mechanisms in CPP™ to work within our own skin cells to protect and promote the cell’s own natural ability for self-repair and regeneration.
Cell Protection Protein has brought a great amount of attention in the scientific community. Over the decades, it has been researched and tested by the US Army, biotechnology researchers, clinicians as well as LIFTLAB. Clinical and in vitro tests show positive results on the skin:
A 95% reduction in erythema from UV exposure was noted in a controlled clinical test. This suggests that CPPs play an important role in reducing post-procedural skin irritation and redness, as well as from sun exposure.
*Redness of the skin caused by dilation and congestion of capillaries
A number of studies over the years consistently show increased viability of keratinocytes in the face of an onslaught of environmental assaults. CPPs bind to cell membranes to reduce ion transfers and help retain moisture.
DNA analysis of skin cells exposed to CPPs show significant upregulation of heat-shock proteins, chaperone proteins and antioxidants. As much as 300% overexpression of key proteins has been demonstrated, showing a prevention of free radical damage and skin regeneration.
Protection against hypothermic conditions has been demonstrated in tests conducted by the US Army as well as LIFTLAB.
When LIFT + PERFECT and LIFT + MOISTURIZE was applied to living skin models, the cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin and fibrinogen all increased these proteins critical for elasticity and firmness by at least 50% over 48 hours! In tests with subjects over 30, they had a statistically significant increase in the number of fibroblasts – the cells that produce these proteins. As we age we lose fibroblasts. The LIFTLAB products reversed this age-related trend.
